MAHA Board of Directors Meeting
March 2, 2004
Present: Laura Mickelson, Beth Leszczynski , Shirley Theede, Sandy Feuling, Connie Robilliard, Kim Schultz, Larry Hoffman, Les Crowl , Jane Boots, Pat Forehand, Jennifer Glomski, Lara Ames, Roberta Lembke, Dean Lembke
Call to Order: Vice President Laura Mickelson called the meeting to order at 6:00pm
President's Report: Anita Grant was unable to attend. She sent an email regarding the Spring General Membership, Spring Fling Show, and the MAHA Anniversary. Also she included information about two nominees to fill the Board position resigned by Bob Jorgenson.
Secretary's Report: The minutes from the February meeting had been emailed. Jane Boots moved to approve as written. Pat Forehand seconded the motion. Motion passed.
Treasurer's Report: Jane Boots submitted MAHA's current assets as listed in attached report. Roberta moved to approve. Second by Kim Schultz. Report approved.
General Membership Meeting: The Spring General Membership meeting is scheduled for April 4, 2004 , at Hesten Park . The board will meet at 12:00 , a clinic scheduled for 1-4 pm . Larry Hoffman, Blair Rains, and Brian Dahms DVM will present. Snacks and beverages will be provided.
Spring Show: Jill Freiders reported that pre-entries close Saturday March 6. There are 200+ horses expected.
Fall Show: Connie Robilliard reported that the officials are confirmed for the show. The Dressage official is pending.
Web Page: Laura reported that Donna Hentges will update the site with current information as it is provided. Discussion followed regarding which portion of the Leader we may want uploaded onto the site.
Volunteer: Sandy and Brian Feuling and Shirley Theede will be committee chairs. Shirley Theede will be contact person.
Insurance: Laura Mickelson reported that Equisure is insuring the shows.
Youth: Youth Open show at Cornerstone in July.
Open Show: Pat Forehand reported that the Open Show will be July 17 at Cornerstone.
Welcome Committee: Sandy and Brian Feuling and Les Crowl will chair.
New Business:
Open Board Position. Robin Arbuckle was elected to a one year position on the board to fill the spot resigned by Bob Jorgenson.
Old Business: There was a discussion regarding founding members of MAHA.
Sandy Feuling moved to adjourn the meeting. Kim Schultz seconded the motion. Meeting adjorned at 7:25 pm .
