President Brian Feuling called the meeting to order at 6:00PM and welcomed everyone to the 2007 MAHA Annual Banquet and Awards Dinner.
Presidents Report
Brian gave a brief report on the highlights of 2006 including the profitable Spring Fling and Fall Classic, the Horse Expo, and the new Open Shows Championship.
Secretary Report
Roberta Lembke reported that the MAHA website (www.mnarabhorse.com) was the primary communications vehicle for the club. She also reported that although the Leader is no longer in existence, the Board hopes to bring a new e-newsletter to the membership in the next few months.
Treasurer Report
Jane Boots presented the Profit Loss statement, the Balance Sheet, and a comparison of the 2006 versus 2007 expenses and income. At present the club’s net income is up $5,251.77. The current Liabilities and Equity stands at $64,851.94.
Nominations and Election Report
Lori Neices reported that 7 individuals are running for the MAHA Board. The existing club officers are running unopposed. Lori told the attendees that all ballots had to be submitted by the end of the business meeting.
Delegate Reports
Each of the seven MAHA Region 10 delegates gave a short oral report on the AHA annual convention in Louisville. Some of the major issues reported include the passing of the AOT (amateur owner trainer) class, the new specifications for the in-hand/halter classes, the addition of the second AHA trail ride, the solid financial standing of AHA, the higher than expected payouts for sweepstakes, and the reported 10% drop in breedings.

Brian Feuling thanked everyone involved in making 2006 a success, thanked the attendees for coming and adjourned the meeting at 9:15PM.
