Laura Mickelson, MAHA Vice President welcomed everyone to the 2009 MAHA Annual Meeting and Banquet. Hillary Hoffman was thanked for her work to organize the banquet.
Miriam McGurran gave a report on the Minnesota Horse Council and the benefits of being a member.
Pat Swenson provided an overview of her goals to foster a strong trail riding contingent among the membership. MAHA will be sponsoring at least two trail rides during 2010.

Awards Presentation
Rachel Enns presented each of the MAHA Directors and Officers with a certificate of appreciation for all of their service to the club. In addition, Conway Arabians, Hesten Park, LeFever Training Centre, Eleanor’s Arabians, P & H Horse and Cattle Company, Sarah Paripovich Training Center, and St. Croix Training Center were each presented with certificate of appreciation for their support of MAHA.
On behalf of President Lori Conway who was fulfilling a judging commitment Laura Mickelson presented Roberta Lembke with the Region 10 President's Award.
Reports
Mirriam McGurran, MAHA Representative to the MN Horse Council, gave a short presentation on the work of the MN Horse Council and encouraged all MAHA members to join.
Pat Swenson reported on MAHA’s trail riding initiative and encouraged members to join other MAHA members on the trail rides. Pat reported that MAHA plans to hold at least two trail rides in 2010.
Laura Mickelson thanked the attendees for coming and adjourned the meeting.
