Dear Arabian Enthusiast,

As part of The Minnesota Arabian Horse Association's efforts to support the showing of Arabian and Half/Anglo Arabians in open competitions, I put together the following calendar of unrated (by AHA or USEF) shows in the upper Midwest (MN, IA, WI, ND, SD).   If you know of any shows that are either all Arabian, offer Arabian classes or have classes (pleasure driving, non stock type halter, western bridlepath, saddle seat) that would be of interest to Arabian owners, please contact me.   These shows can be put on by any organization whether Arabian club affiliated or not, but don’t forget that AHA has two rewards program for open shows:

This calendar will be on the Minnesota Arabian Horse Association (http://www.mnarabhorse.com) and Region 10 websites (http://www.region10arabians.com).  I would be happy to send it by email to anyone who is interested.  This calendar will be updated monthly on the web site and an updated version will be sent periodically to any parties who have provided an email address.  No surface mailings will be done.  Also included is a list of WSCA judges recommended by people who show Arabians on the open shows circuit.   Not all information has been verified so please check with show sponsors to confirm dates, location, etc.  The calendar is provided as a courtesy and MAHA assumes no liability for incorrect information.

Judges 

WSCA judges with Arabian background: John Gurtner, Ann Graney Hoffman, Linda Hagen-Kvanbeck, Roy Johnson.  Linda and Roy also hold a USEF/AHA card. 

The following information is based on the personal experience of people showing Arabians under these judges.  It does NOT represent the opinion of Minnesota Arabian Horse Association, Inc. and MAHA specifically is not responsible for the accuracy of this information.  The absence of a judge on this list may mean that no one sent in any ratings.  Feel free to send in your own ratings or opinions about these or any other judges that you show under in open, schooling, or fun shows to lauramickelson@aol.com.
