AHA Region 10

Region 10 Point System Rules
(Wisconsin & Minnesota)

The purpose of this program is to acknowledge Purebred and Half-Arabian owners who are exhibiting their horse(s) at the local levels, not including Class “A” shows, and by doing so, promoting the Breed.

  1. All horses must be a registered Purebred or Half-Arabian. A copy of their registration papers is required. Horse owners MUST be a Region 10 resident. (Affiliated clubs, such as GLAHA and Thunder Bay, included.)

  2. During the current competition year, any horse(s) that are shown at the “Class A” level or higher are NOT eligible.

  3. Points will accumulate from January 1 to December 31 of the current year.

  4. Points must be recorded on the Region 10 Point forms, and mailed along with an official class list and sent to the appropriate Point System Secretary within 15 days of the last date of the show (enforced by US Postmark; postage meters are not acceptable).

  5. Points will be counted ONLY from USEF (United States Equestrian Federation) recognized shows below the Class “A” level and Open Shows, such as the following; saddle club, 4-H, local AHA (Arabian Horse Association) community shows, local USEF member approved shows etc.

  6. All points are to be mailed directly to the Point System Secretary whose name and address appears on the form (xls). It is recommended that you make extra copies of the reporting form(s) or allow two weeks for additional forms to be mailed.

  7. Any competitor may check their points with the Point System Secretary at any time during the year. No questions regarding other competitors will be answered. A stamped, self-addressed envelope should accompany inquiries.

  8. Awards will be given in the following divisions: Purebred Amateur Owner, Purebred Junior Owner, Half-Arabian Amateur Owner and Half-Arabian Junior Owner. These awards will be given to the horse and rider combinations as described above. Regional awards will be given to the Champion, Reserve Champion, and Top Five in each division.

  9. Reports of the winners in each division will be published in the Region 10 Communicator.

  10. The award recipients will be allowed the option to chose where they wish the award to be presented.
