Attention Trail Riders — Possible Changes to Crow Hassan Park!

Do you like to trail ride your Arabian horse? If you do, you should be aware of some potential and perhaps not so wonderful changes to Crow Hassan Park. Crow Hassan Park is part of the Three Rivers Park System (formerly Hennepin Parks) and is located east of Rogers. The park board is discussing a new master plan for the county parks. Part of that plan may include adding bicycle trails to the Crow Hassan Park. Many trail riders have come to appreciate Crow Hassan as being a quiet and safe place to trail ride without the hassle of dealing with bicycles, ATV’s, etc. The Planning Manager, Jonathan Vlaming has invited all trail riders to share with him your opinions on the park and the future of the horse and bicycle trails. Any correspondence he hears from trail riders is logged as input into the plan for consideration and you will be added to his contact list when the public dialogues regarding the park begins. Mr. Vlaming expects that the planning group will reach a decision on the change in trails by June of this year. You are encouraged to share your thoughts with Mr. Vlaming in the next few weeks at JVlaming@threeriversparkdistrict.org
